Working towards goals and objectives

Contrary to common misconceptions, music therapy is not about teaching clients how to play instruments or requiring any prior musical skills.

At its core, music therapy is a legitimate form of therapeutic intervention, akin to other conventional therapies. It involves the purposeful use of music by accredited or board-certified music therapists. Just like any other therapeutic modality, we focus on establishing and working towards well-defined goals and objectives.

Our Process

Assessment Phase

The initial 1-3 sessions involve a comprehensive assessment to establish a baseline for each client.

Treatment Planning

Based on these assessments and collaborative discussions with clients, parents, guardians, and staff as necessary, we craft a customized treatment plan with overarching goals and specific objectives.

Therapeutic Activities

Subsequent sessions are dedicated to engaging in targeted music therapy activities designed to achieve the established goals.

Review and Adaptation

Periodically, we revisit the treatment plan. Adjustments may include modifying objectives, refining goals, or termination of sessions if goals have been achieved after discussion with the appropriate individual.
